Mobility Strategies for Modern Times

Transportation is essential to making our lives and communities work -- and many people are seeking options that are the most economical, and/or the healthiest for individuals, neighborhoods and the planet.

There are a diversity of well known, newer and evolving 'mobility strategies' to choose from in Tompkins County, including walking, biking, buses, paid and free rides, ride-sharing, car-sharing, guaranteed ride and other evolving, flexible transportation services. This program will help consumers learn about, consider and choose the best options to meet their needs and values.

Personal Transportation Planning

Through various media, workshops and our website, free tools will be available to help people access their transportation needs, consider and try new transportation strategies, and develop individual transportation plans. Services are free and will be available to individuals, families, employers and human service agencies in Tompkins County, beginning in Fall 2008.
